Kiki Bazaar
Brand
Design
Tasked with creating a brand that would allow this new player to stand out in a crowded market, boldness and loudness were fully embraced.
As this online store dealt predominantly with overseas buying, the core inspiration became the shipping containers and industrial signage found in and around the shipping process. In it’s simplest form, this reduced down to straight forward typography that spoke to utility, along with a simple, distraction-free application of colour that leant into way finding and high-vis.
Decent DAO
Direction
Design
Decent DAO’s future-forward, Web3 based business model required them to be fronted by a contemporary website that gave the sense of a utopian ‘future OS’.
This was achieved through various visual cues; from a vibrant, uplifting colour palette, to an exaggerated typographic heirarchy and touches of soft, ‘neumorphic’ UI. These elements were backed by a series of illustrations inspired by sci-fi great, Mœbius.
Nurture
Direction
Design
Valiant Labs (Nike R&D) were looking to expand their horizons towards the health and fitness of mothers. This service was to be as holistic as possible by benefiting the mental and physical well-being of both mothers and mothers-to-be with exercise, meditation, nutrition and community support all deeply embedded in the offering.
Soft earthy colours were used in conjunction with powerful, distinct illustrations to create a sense of ease and humanity – a welcoming invitation to a safe and comfortable space. The digital experience on the other hand needed to feel trustworthy and established, as often users would be digesting topics that were sensitive and private in nature.
Moananui
Brand
Design
Moananui is a blue economy innovation cluster focused on bringing together bold, forward thinking organisations in order to generate economic value while, most importantly, improving ocean health. They had an exsisting wordmark that needed to be elevated and strecthed into a brand that encompassed their newly established values.
A contemporary visual language was developed by recontextualising local natural elements – such as the Pāua shell – into a striking, scientifc brand palette. Once paired wth photography that was both elegant and scientific in execution, an effective voice was found for Moananui.
